Our First POYi Guest Lecture and Workshop
With Top Photojournalist Steve McCurry
Steve McCurry, one of today's finest image-makers, has covered numerous international and civil conflicts, including 30 years of coverage of Afghanistan. Many of his images have become modern icons- such as the photograph of the Afghan refugee girl with strikingly vibrant eyes that appeared on the cover of National Geographic, described by many as the most recognizable photograph in the world today. His photography and editing work has received multiple honors from POYi over the years. McCurry has published many books, most recently Looking East (2006) and his latest book In the Shadow of Mountains (2007).
