Buckland is Distinguished Visiting Professor at The Cooper Union, NYC.  She also held the Nobel Chair in Art and Cultural History at Sarah Lawrence College.  She has taught at Pratt Institute and Columbia College, Chicago.

Buckland will speak about the stories behind the photographs in the exhibitl. For 4 ½ years she traveled worldwide interviewing the photographers who gave rock & roll its image. The exhibition and accompanying book are based on her original research.
