A Friday for Night Owls!
Event
PAST EVENT: Fri, Sep 07, 2018

It’s your last chance to experience Annenberg After Hours for our current exhibit, Not an Ostrich: And Other Images from America’s Library! If your days are busy, but your nights are free, this is the event for you. Join us on Friday, September 7 to enjoy live music, a documentary with exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the Library of Congress, and 440 thought-provoking images that span the history of our nation and the art of photography itself, in an exhibition American Photography calls “a collection of stunning images that document special moments in American culture and history.

Prompt arrival is encouraged as entry is granted on a first-come, first-served basis until we reach capacity. RSVP does not guarantee entry. As always, admission is free.

*This event is currently sold out. As there is limited space, be sure to register early for our programs! If you haven’t already, sign up for our email updates, and check out our full list of upcoming programming.

Exhibit

Not an Ostrich: And Other Images from America’s Library is the result of celebrated American photography curator Anne Wilkes Tucker’s excavation of nearly 500 images—out of a collection of over 14 million—permanently housed at the Library of Congress.
